MOTs/Repairs
Our trained technicians are qualified in carrying out MOTs on all Class 4 vehicles (this includes cars and small vans under 3000kg). MOT time slots are available when booked in advance, and whilst you wait, you can either take a seat in our waiting area or stroll into Hebden Bridge – winner of small market town 2016 – to visit an array of independent shops and cafes.
Where possible, we will offer a courtesy car, if required, when booked in advance.
Servicing
Star Garage services and repairs all cars, using the latest diagnostic equipment and aims to provide a courtesy car where possible, if booked in advance.
Star’s technicians, who regularly attend the latest training courses, also have the expertise to service and repair air-con systems.
As an AutoCare approved garage, Star can repair and service cars under warranty, using parts and fluids of Original Equipment, without invalidating the guarantee. Drivers’ ‘right to choose’ exists under the EU Motor Vehicle Block Exemption (BER). Any work carried out is done using first-class quality parts and lubricants in line with AutoCare’s strict code of conduct.
Diagnostics
Our team can diagnose your vehicle fault using a comprehensive range of diagnostic equipment. Our diagnostics equipment can detect faults, system maintenance issues, engine warnings, brakes, emissions and more.
We are also able to diagnose issues across a wide variety of vehicles and our diagnostic equipment is compatible with most vehicle manufacturers.
Tyres
Star recognise that when you need a new tyre, you need it fast. Therefore, we keep pace with the demand for tyres by retaining a large and varied stock on our premises at all times. We also receive daily deliveries from a number of tyre suppliers.
As part of our tyre services, we also offer customers free storage for drivers who choose to alternate between winter and summer tyres.
Courtesy Car
We offer a free courtesy car service to help keep you moving while your vehicle is with us. Whether you need a compact runabout or something with extra space, our fleet is designed to suit a range of everyday needs—giving you convenience and peace of mind.
Our courtesy vehicles include a Nissan Micra (5 seats), Hyundai i10 (5 seats), and a Citroën Berlingo van (2 seats plus small centre seat)—ideal for light loads or work use. Courtesy cars are subject to availability, so please be sure to book in advance when arranging your service to avoid disappointment.
